A new RDA sponsorship!
Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia (RDA) is committed to providing people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy horse riding and equestrian activities throughout Australia. A volunteer driven, non-profit organisation, RDA is the leading association supporting therapeutic and sports related equestrian activities for people with disabilities. RDA has an excellent sponsorship relationship with the Australian Sports Commission and is now pleased to announce new sponsorship with Jurox Pty Limited. Our volunteers and sponsors continue to allow the RDA to deliver our aim of “developing abilities and enriching lives.”
In 2010, RDAA was approached by Jurox Pty Limited, an Australian owned, Hunter Valley based animal health company (www.jurox.com.au), to develop a mutually beneficial linkage arrangement. After significant negotiations, the RDA and Jurox are excited to announce a new sponsorship arrangement, which will help improve the recognition of the RDA’s work and provide financial support to the association.
From July 2012, the RDA logo will be seen linked with Jurox's newest product – Promectin® Plus Mini Allwormer (Promectin® Mini). Promectin® Mini has been reviewed and registered by the APVMA – the regulator for veterinary medicines in Australia. Promectin® Mini is a novel and new concept in horse worming paste - a low volume paste that does not requiring you to dial a dose, it comes in two sizes – a light pink tube to treat foals and ponies between 150 and 300 kg and a dark pink tube to treat horses between 300 and 600 kg. Promectin® Mini will mean easier administration (especially for those with small hands) and less waste. Promectin® Mini contains the trusted and well known active ingredients - ivermectin and praziquantel – offering a safe, full strength broad-spectrum wormer in a more user friendly format.
RDA believes that this will be an excellent and mutually beneficial sponsorship relationship. The arrangement will result in increased exposure of the RDA logo to the wider equine community. Jurox will display the RDA logo as a sponsor on Promectin® Mini packaging, advertising (including Horse Deals), websites, and the Jurox Healthy Horse’s Facebook page. Jurox will donate 10c to RDA for every tube of Promectin® Mini sold annually throughout Australia; will supply 700 tubes of Promectin® Mini annually for distribution to centres for worming of RDA horses; and provide Dr Brad O’Hagan
(Veterinary Services Manager), as a free veterinary speaker at the RDA National Coaching Conference. Dr O’Hagan spent 10 years in veterinary practice before moving to the pharmaceutical industry – the majority of that working in equine referral practices.
RDA will receive valuable funding to continue the work of recruiting and training quality coaches and excellent marketing and promotion of the new logo which we hope will soon grow into a recognisable brand.
