Pine Ridge Riding School aims to teach riders to become safe and confident riders. We teach riders to have a correct and secure position. Our horses and ponies are carefully selected with obedience and willingness a priority. WHAT TO WEAR
Head - Helmets are compulsory and can be borrowed. The largest helmet size available to borrow is approx 61/62 cm. If you have a very large head you will need to source your own helmet. All helmets must be to the current Australian or EU standard.
Legs - Jodhpurs are preferable but track pants or leggings will be ok for the first few lessons. Chapettes are a great but not essential to start.
Body - Close fitting t shirt or sweater. Fleece sweater & or a Waterproof coat. (Yundi can be a few degrees cooler than Adelaide city.) Even if it’s not raining when you leave home bring a raincoat just in case.
Feet - Proper riding boots are preferable, they offer the best support to the sole & have the correct size heel & correct amount of tread/grip. Fashion boots are rarely suitable. We suggest boots are the first item you should buy. It’s very difficult to teach a correct position when the rider is wearing running shoes. If a rider is wearing running shoes we will use toe cages on the stirrups for safety.
Hands- Riding gloves are preferable all year round. Not essential to start.
First bookings & casual bookings can be paid in cash on arrival. Lessons can be booked in a regular time slot but these lessons must be paid one week in advance in cash or by bank transfer at least 48 hours prior to lessons.
